Dr. Sherman O. Smock, an accomplished periodontist, has been practicing dentistry for over 28 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and attended the University of Tennessee for his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Smock was then a staff dentist at the Gracewood State School and Hospital for seven years. He went on to receive his specialty training and certificate in periodontics from the Specialty Program in Periodontics at the Medical College of Georgia. In addition, he regularly attends continuing education courses to bring new technologies and techniques to his practice. To this end, Dr. Smock has completed the two-year Maxi-Course in Dental Implants at Howard University. Dr. Smock is married to Jean, and they have a blended family consisting of five children and four "perfect" grand-children.
